“Since 90% of Americans don’t meet their daily vegetable recommendations, I try to include them in my diet every chance I get,” says Amidor. “When I’m on a plane trip, I’ll be packing more intense vegetables like celery and carrots that I can eat during my trip.”

According to Amidor, vegetables are also “filled with fiber, antioxidants like the beta-carotene in carrots, and water, which helps me stay hydrated during my travels.”
