Dr Khubchandani says, “Loneliness and social isolation to be connected with increased risk of premature mortality and increased risk of chronic disease. While social priorities may change or increase work responsibilities as people age, people who remain isolated, do not engage with others socially, or remain pessimistic may eventually develop coronary artery disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, and a variety of other physical health problems. Every day, it should be ensured that there is time to socialize and meet with family and friends, and exercise; this will help stop rapid aging.”

Unfortunately, most adults do not eat the right amount, at the right time). eat adequately fruits and vegetables and many do not get the necessary minerals, vitamins and nutrients. With age, dietary requirements and appetite change and one must be vigilant about these content, frequency, and schedule of diet. Although it is true for all ages, as you get older, make it a habit to eat less sugar, salt, saturated fatty acids and add more fruits and vegetables and unsaturated fats to reduce the risk of avoid excess weight, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Unhealthy diets can help with age-related decline in body functions and also increase the risk of cardiovascular disease (eg heart attacks and stroke) or increase the likelihood of these diseases earlier in life. The National Institutes on Aging Provides guidance on key dietary elements needed for aging and these can help reverse the rapid aging process.”

According to Dr. Khubchandani, “Although screening for health risk factors depends on age and the likelihood of risk factors, many organizations and medical societies have recommendations specifically for those 50 years of age and older. These recommendations apply to both . men and females. Early detection of health behaviors and lifestyle problems (eg, obesity and alcohol abuse) or diseases (eg, high blood pressure) will ensure that a person can prevent further declines in health and continue to looking and feeling younger because many of these problems are related to. premature and rapid aging (eg, cognitive decline with high blood sugar).”

Dr. Khubchandani tells us, “Skin is one of the few manifestations of the aging process visible to the naked human eye. The skin is the most important organ that requires the maintenance of tone, texture, hydration and proper nutrition. the skin is also vulnerable to toxic exposures such as pollutants, ultraviolet radiation, extreme weather. skin protection (eg, avoid air pollution, use sunscreen, keep covered) and nutrition (eg, getting enough vitamins, minerals, and water) is key to looking fresh and not older than your age.”

“Since the Pandemic covid-19 started, there has been a rapid increase in stress and sleep problems in society,” says Dr. Khubchandani. “People are feeling more stressed and sleepless today than ever before and may also experience physical and mental weakness . Stress and sleep deprivation promote inflammation in the body resulting in the release of toxic chemicals and a variety of neuropsychological, immune and biochemical imbalances that affect the aging process. What makes it worse is poor stress management, lack of sleep hygiene, and not taking care of yourself. It also refers to the combination of stress and inflammation that causes biological changes associated with aging inflammation. The aging process and sleep also have a bidirectional relationship (eg, aging may be associated with sleep problems and vice versa). Genetic and biochemical sleep deprivation may lead to an acceleration of the aging process as a result of changes in the cells of the human body and may indirectly cause aging through an increased risk of many chronic diseases that damage body organ or degeneration. Individuals should get quality sleep for a sufficient number of hours by maintaining good sleep hygiene to avoid looking or feeling older.”
