Armie Hammer accuses Elizabeth Chambers of New Interview when she says hammer is ‘healing’

One of Armie Hammer’s accusers — the woman known only as Effie, whose rape allegations against Hammer prompted an LAPD investigation into the actor — is calling out Elizabeth Chambers on her House of Effie Instagram account.

New IE! News cover story, Chambers said she and Hammer are “in a great place,” adding in part that they talk often and that their divorce is not final.

She said Hammer was “focused on his healing,” adding that she is “here to support that process.”

On Wednesday, Effie – her allegations against Hammer began an investigation into the Call Me By Your Name star last March – shared messages on her Instagram Story allegedly between her and Chambers in which the TV personality appears to encourage Effie to go public with claims against her ex-.

“I’m getting a copy of the NDA he used and I think there’s an error in it, which would invalidate it. As soon as I confirm, can you post?” one message from Chambers was allegedly read.

In another message, Chambers appears to tell Effie to “stay focused” on “recording the stories. Not just on the internet.”

After Chambers allegedly asked Effie if she had hired a lawyer, Effie replied, “I’m feeling a little suicidal and I don’t have time for this I’m sorry.”

Chambers apparently told Effie, “I really want custody of my precious children” and asked her to file a declaration, promising to keep it private.

“I don’t want to pressure you, but your insight is much deeper than the rest of us,” said another message, allegedly from Chambers.

She later alleged that a declaration from Effie could land Hammer in jail.

Effie ended her Instagram Stories by writing, “Just a few things to keep in mind before anyone else tries to ‘cure’ rapists.”

In a statement obtained by PEOPLE on Thursday, a representative for Chambers says, “Given the extent and nature of the allegations made, Elizabeth sought to determine the truth of those allegations. She was very sensitive to all parties involved. Safety and well-being. – being children is always a priority.”

In July 2020, Chambers, 40, filed for divorce from Hammer, citing irreconcilable differences. Months later, the actor became embroiled in controversy after messages allegedly from the actor detailing violent sexual fantasies were leaked online. He was later accused of rape, which he denied.

Effie, who initially shared her account of allegations against Hammer anonymously, accused him of sexual assault in a four-hour incident she said took place in 2017. The 24-year-old appeared at a press conference with with her attorney Gloria Allred.

Effie, who chose to keep her legal name private during the conference, further accused Hammer of “mentally, emotionally and sexually abusing” her during their four-year on-and-off relationship. Hammer was married to Chambers at the time of the alleged affair.

In a statement previously provided to PEOPLE, Hammer’s lawyer denied the rape allegation and claimed that his relationship with Effie was “entirely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance, and a mutual involvement.”
