Pumpkin Smoothie – Recipe Notes:

  • You can get the best results by using a blender on high speed for this pumpkin smoothie. I used mine Life Mix and it came out super creamy and silky.
  • I tried this recipe with homemade pumpkin puree and canned pumpkin puree. It didn’t surprise me that the one with the homemade puree was so much better! Usually, I just make a big batch in mine Instant Pot and freeze it for later. Let it sit on the counter overnight or for at least a few hours to thaw. You can also add it to your blender while it’s still frozen. However, this way your pumpkin smoothie will have a different texture and you won’t have to add ice cubes. Check these out step by step instructions for making homemade pumpkin puree if you haven’t done it before.
  • I’ve listed the spices for this pumpkin smoothie separately (ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves). If you want, however, you can also use just store-bought pumpkin spice.
  • If you want this smoothie to be more refreshing, you can use a frozen banana instead of a room temperature one.
