Yes, you heard right. And I guess that explains the color orange too, right? This new trend is not alone super healthy but also insanely delicious! And it couldn’t be easier. I love the subtle sweetness of these sweet potato toasties. It’s not too sweet, so you can still use any hearty toppings like avocado or tofu. But it definitely adds a nice flavor. Plus, sweet potatoes are super healthy and contain tons of nutrients. Combine sweet potato toast with some nut butter and other superfoods like avocado or chia seeds and you’ve got an extremely nutritious breakfast or snack.

How to make sweet potato toast:

Large round potatoes they work best for these sweet potato toasties.

-Slice your sweet potatoes vertically Slices 1/4 inch thick. Don’t make them too thick as they won’t cook through completely.

-You can peel the sweet potatoes or just leave the peel on. I usually don’t mind the skin, but it’s totally up to you. It works both ways.

-Turn the toaster until high and toast sweet potato wedges for 2-3 rounds or about 5 minutes.

-You can store extra slices in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Just warm them up in the toaster again.
