Vegan Black Bean Brownies – Chef Elliot

Vegan black bean brownies

Don’t you like beans? Only eat brownies! Sound crazy? It’s actually not!! When I first heard about black bean brownies, I wasn’t exactly eager to try them and couldn’t believe they could be used to make delicious chocolate brownies. But when I started cooking with zucchini a couple weeks ago and loved it (check out my zucchini and carrot muffins), I was like “what the heck why not give it a try”? And so I ended up with these vegan black bean brownies, which blew my mind! And I didn’t even stop at the brownies, I also tried the vegan donuts with beans, which also came out great.

They are not only super delicious, but also very soft and chocolaty. Plus the recipe couldn’t be simpler! All you need is a food processor or blender, an oven, and a handful of ingredients like brown beans, cocoa, and vegan chocolate chips. I’m sure people would never guess that these brownies contain black beans instead of flour. They look, smell and taste exactly like ordinary brownies. Isn’t that just crazy?!

They are also excellent for those suffering from gluten sensitivity and for those who like to avoid flour in general. I added a handful of nuts, but I’m sure they’re also great with hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, or peanut butter. Make sure you let them cool a bit before cutting them into pieces.Vegan black bean brownies

Hope you all have a great start to the week! As always, love to hear from you guys! 🙂

PS: Flo is so proud of her first (hand) modeling job! 😀 How could a job that includes holding vegan black bean brownies and then eating them improve?!
